Hop Gallery is a non-profit art gallery, based in Tallinn, Estonia. It is located in the Old Town among other galleries, Applied Art and Design Museum and Town Hall Square. It is quite small with a cozy atmosphere inside. The gallery’s
purpose is to present a professional applied art from Estonia and other foreign countries, to show design and creation of young artists, and to go between the artist and audience.
Taking into account that HOP Gallery is a modern gallery and helps young
artists to present their works, it actually doesn’t have a strong branding and it’s hard to identify what kind of gallery it is unless you read something about it. We discovered gallery’s activities in the social networks and, actually, tried to find out how they present themselves online and offline, and couldn’t find anything worthy. So, we decided to help them to build their own style and the connection between “modern” and “classy”.
The “modern classic” concept came to mind when we realized where the gallery actually located — old part of the town among museums. We wanted to keep it modern yet classy. And, as soon as we reached this idea, we thought of
Bauhaus. We came to the conclusion that Bauhaus principles and ideas would perfectly fit here — with all its simplicity, clarity and pure aesthetic. New logo symbolizes this “modern classic” due to strong geometrical shapes, the vertical border around the symbol and using of black&white colors.
